Wallace Kaufman came to mediation and arbitration from a broad background in business, environmental organizations, foreign aid work, counseling small businesses, and facilitating meetings.

Examples of his work include:
  • Moderating a debate between the Sierra Club and US Senator John Breaux
  • Facilitating the Second Skidaway Conference on Coastal development where he brought development, government and environmental interests to agreement
  • Overseeing the successful and peaceful integration of party political organizations in a rural North Carolina County during hot civil rights conflicts
  • Mediating divorce agreements with complex property and joint business issues
  • Bridging cultural understandings as lead coordinator and trainer of groups from the former Soviet Union visiting America to study ecotourism, Freedom of Information Act implementation and non-profit organizations.
  • Evaluating the communications components of a large foreign aid project in rural Mongolia.
The invaluable personal experience Wallace Kaufman brings to his work and the understanding of client interests includes farm and factory labor, university teaching, forming and dissolving businesses, operating a licensed construction firm, environmentally sensitive land development, and developing consensus for political position papers. 

Wallace Kaufman speaks Spanish and Russian and offers services as an experienced guide and trainer for citizens of other countries visiting America for business and study.  He will also accompany small groups on visits to Russia and Central Asia to facilitate business contacts, research, or citizen-to-citizen communications.
